π‘οΈ Live Arrival (DOA) Guarantee & Escrow Policy
At WildCurio, customer confidence and the welfare of live specimens are our top priorities. Every transaction for live flora and fauna is protected by our secure Escrow Payment System and 48-Hour Live Arrival Guarantee.
1. Escrow Protection Mechanism
When you purchase a live plant, fish, or reptile, your payment is not sent directly to the seller. Instead, the funds are safely held in the platform's secure escrow account. The escrow is only released to the seller after the following criteria are met:
- The carrier confirms successful delivery of the package to your address.
- The 48-hour verification window has closed without a DOA claim being filed.
2. DOA Claim Requirements
To protect the integrity of the marketplace and prevent fraudulent claims, buyers must strictly adhere to the following claim guidelines:
- Uncut Unboxing Video: You must record a single, continuous, uncut video showing the opening of the package, the removal of the protective shipping box, and the condition of the live plant or animal. Any cuts, edits, or delays in the video will immediately invalidate the claim.
- Carrier Confirmation Window: The claim, along with the video and high-resolution photographs, must be submitted within 48 hours of carrier-marked delivery. Late claims cannot be accepted as live arrival cannot be verified after this time.
3. Refund Resolution
Once a claim is verified by the administrative team:
- 100% Escrow Refund: If the specimen is deceased on arrival, the full purchase price is refunded to the buyer from escrow.
- Shipping Costs: Standard shipping costs are refunded in full. Return shipping of deceased specimens is not required, preserving safety and health standards.
